Prom Dress

And another yarn update on what I spun last week.
I just love making up the names for the yarns. :)

Christmas Market!

I have been invited to sell my yarns and some related things on "Jungfrusunds Julmarknad"! It is a local Christmas market here on the islands, apparently I am now an islander. :)
Please come and have a look at local products (the local honey is especially recommended, and the hand spun yarn of course) and feel Christmasy. If you live south of Stockholm you can take the car ferry over the water, a lovely ride. And if you live north of Stockholm you can visit Drottningholms Christmas market on the way back.
Jungfrusunds Julmarknad, den 4 och 5 december. Welcome everyone!

Flowers

From the crazy leftover yarn I made these little flower brooches. It is a simple spiral but it folds into itself beautifully. And there is always the element of surprise when knitting them, because I don't know what colour the yarn will turn into next.

Yarnie

If you are a member of Ravelry, and have bought one of my yarns, you can now link it to the official FridaMadeIt page! I am a yarnie!

Pssst... maye you should buy some yarn just to be able to link to the page, blink blink. ;)

Snow?

Mhm, ok, this is what I woke up to this morning. It was a magical atmosphere, but…
Snow already, was that really necessary? And lots of it too. And it is still lying around, I can tell you, it is not so magical any more.
Lucky I finished the hats.

THE Hat

This hat though, compared to the ear flap one, is glorious! It turned out great! Lovely colour, perfect fit, and it is really comfortable. I like it, this is my hat for the winter. The pattern is the Sock Head Hat.

Ear Flap Hat

My ears get really relly cold in the winter, so the obvious solution is an ear flap hat. Tada! Well, it turned out a bit to small, and it looks like some colourful baby helmet. The yarn is glorious though, it is the one I got in the tea and yarn swap I was in recently. I think I have to make a new hat.

Pink spinning

I spun this beautiful yarn from the wool I got from my partner in the Tea and Yarn Swap. She hand dyed it herself in this lovely variegated pink that looked great all spun up.

Leftovers

This is what happens to all the little odd ends of yarn that is left over when you ply the yarn. It is the yarn equivalent of leftover dinners at the end of the week. Glorious!

Jewellery again

Sadly, jewellery has lost some of its magic glow after appearing in the real world after being thrown about for three years at Konstfack. I have no doubts that I will reestablish my love for it on my own terms in time, but for now I was happy to be inspired by Kristi Paap from Estonia.

Photo Gloves

I have been knitting some too, but you cant show presents until the receiver has seen them first. This is Lasses birthday photo-gloves. With an "peel off" feature on the index finger and thumb on the right hand, so that you can press the trigger and fiddle with the dials.
