Lovely, loveley yarn in the mail! From Pickles. I am going to turn it into this. I decided not to rip up the old sweater for this pattern. I still might rip it up and make something else, it is so silly that it is just lying around, never being worn, but it was not right for this pattern.
I am having great trouble with the brioche stitch though, the instructions in the pattern just don't make the brioche stripes for me, it just looks like a fluffy kind of garter stitch. I had to find instructions here instead. But now the thin stripe I have managed so far, looks great.
