Salad/Yarn Spinner

Using a salad spinner as a centrifuge for drying yarn and fiber was a great idea!!! It is quite amazing how much water you can get out of the yarn and if I am washing fiber, it gets a lot cleaner, just because I got all that dirty water out of it between washes.
And also did I not find a cute green one. :)

Kanin

I knitted a little bunny for Lily's birthday. I used this pattern; Sophie, great pattern, well written, everything is very securely fastened and great design. It looked a bit cold so I made a pattern for a little sweater for it. The sweater turned out to be so much fun to knit, all the fun tricky parts of a sweater in miniature. I think the little fellow will have a whole stack of sweaters when I am done. :)
We did a little photo session it the garden before I packed it up and sent it away towards Lily.

Swapping Spinners

We are swapping madly in the Swedish spinners group on ravelry, and I got this surprise from Viffla in the mail today!!  Talk about a good day.
The brown wool is Värmlandsull, the multicoloured pink is Sari Silk, the white is bamboo, exiting I haven't tried bamboo before, and the black/brown "dreads" are Baby Alpaca, I am not sure how you handle the dreads but Ill ask. :)
And then there is a jar of what might possibly be the best liquorice in the world, I had to bring it to the computer with me.
Tack snälla söta Linnéa!

Carding a blended batt

30

So, Im 30 now. Feels good. I feel proud over my years, I have put them to good use.
Can I finally settle down to the comfortable life in the country, with spinning and gardening, that I want? Of course I can, I always could, but somehow it fits better with being 30. ;)
I had a wonderful day with a family gathering, and family and friends celebrating a´La distance.

Thank you, all lovely people in my life who made my day great!
